Madeline Elizabeth Hartle
Madeline Elizabeth Hartle \"Granny\", 67, of Bedford, died Friday, April 13, 2012. Born November 25, 1944 in Norfolk; she was a daughter of the late Carl Theodore Massie and Ruth Elizabeth Adkins Massie, and the widow of Donald Lee Hartle.
Madeline attended Blue Ridge Community Church.
She is survived by her children, Daniel J Glass III and wife Susan of Bedford, Susan Glass of NJ, Vicki Gammon and husband Robert of Forest, Christopher Glass and wife, Christina of Salem, John Theodore Glass of Bedford, Donna Dooley and husband Richard of Thaxton; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Bunce of MI.
A memorial service will be conducted 6 PM, Friday, April 20, 2012 in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service until 8 PM. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
