Lorraine Porter Hubbard (Margie), was called home to reunite with the Lord and family on July 22, 2026. She was born July 9, 1940 to the late Clayton and Lorraine Porter.

She joined Mt. Peelier Baptist at a young age and retired from Imperial reading Company. Lorraine married Henry H. Hubbard, Sr. in February 1957.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest and Joe Porter, one infant brother and one sister Revell Smith.

Lorraine is survived by three brothers, Edgar Porter (Val), Clyde Porter (Pat), and Perry Porter (Joyce); sisters Joyce McCray, Rosell Johnson and Cynthia Porter; two sister-in-laws, Marie Porter and Wanda Porter. She is also survived by Marrin Hubbard, Judy Belle Hubbard, Vivian Hubbard, Jacqueline Hubbard (Jackie), Henry H. Hubbard, Jr., Floyd Hubbard (Bo) and Ronald Mosley who was just like a son; 13 grandchildren, Mario Harris, Timeka Blanding, Michael Stevens (Dee Dee), Demetria Blanding (Joe), Dante Hubbard, Montez Hubbard, Jerodrik (Jerod) R. Hubbard, Janiqua (Neek) S. Hubbard, Larente (Mane Mane) Hubbard, Latrice (Tricey) Hubbard, Vivica J. Hubbard, Cedric Johnson, Lamar (Woo) Scott and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 3:00P.M. She will lie in repose for viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Archer Creek Cemetery.

The family will receieve friends at 2418 Cobbs Street Lynchurg, Va between the hours of 6PM-9PM
