Littleton Gardner Blanks, IV, known to all as “Lit,” of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at the age of 50.

He was born on May 4, 1976, in Lynchburg to the late Littleton Gardner Blanks III and Shirley Marie Viar.

Lit was the founder and owner of Gardner’s Lawn Care and Landscaping.

He is survived by his beloved son, Gardner; his mother, Shirley; his fiancée, Melissa, and her two daughters, Tori and Rachel; his sister, Brooksie; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his two dogs.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026 in the Chapel at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
