Linda Diane Tompkins, 75, of Lynchburg, Virginia, was born into eternal life on August 16, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Richard and Almarie Tompkins. She was also preceded in death by her sister Donna Lee Davis niece Michelle Swayne and her nephew Darren Davis.

Left to mourn are nieces Gracie Beverly, Tori Davis, Mikayla Feather; great niece Tegan Feather; Nephews Joseph Tompkins, Reuben Beverly, Mark Davis, Tye Swayne; maternal aunt Betty Tompkins; paternal uncle Wilmer (Ceil) Smith and a host of cousins and friends.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

 He makes me lie down in green pastures, 

he leads me beside quiet waters, 

he refreshes my soul. 

He guides me along the right paths

 for his name’s sake. 

Even though I walk

 through the darkest valley,

 I will fear no evil,

 for you are with me; 

your rod and your staff,

 they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me 

in the presence of my enemies. 

You anoint my head with oil; 

my cup overflows. 

Surely your goodness and love will follow me

 all the days of my life, 

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

 forever.

A graveside service will held at 10am on Saturday August 29,2026, at Forest Hill Burial Park, 2310 Lakeside dr, Lynchburg, VA.
