Linda Pribble Scruggs, 79, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on June 8, 2026, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born on May 3, 1947, Linda was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mabel Pribble. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Lee Scruggs.
Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her sons, Zach Scruggs (Tammy) and Chad Scruggs (Sharon); her grandchildren, Colin, Gabby, CJ, Daniel, and Jacob; her cherished cat, Scooter; her siblings, Elsie, Leland, and Faye; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her deeply.
Linda was retired and spent her life caring for those around her. She loved doing for her family and helping others whenever she could. Strong-willed, independent, and hardworking, she rarely sat still and always found something to keep herself busy. Her determination, resilience, and generous spirit were evident to everyone who knew her.
Despite the challenges she faced during her illness, Linda fought with remarkable strength and courage. Her love for her family never wavered, and the memories she created with those she loved will be treasured forever.
Linda's kindness, dedication, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she impacted.

A graveside service will be held a Fort Hill Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 2PM.
