Sister Linda Kay Johnson slipped away from life into glory to rest in the arms of Jesus on March 19, 2026, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born in Lynchburg, VA, on September 5, 1950.
A woman of dedicated service and many talents, Linda retired from Karen’s Bakery after 38 years. She found great joy in her hobbies, which included sewing, gardening, and cooking. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Zikki, whom she cherished as her own child. Throughout her life, Linda’s faith remained a cornerstone of her strength, and she found particular comfort in her favorite song, "Amazing Grace."
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Elizabeth McGann; her son, Roy Lee Pribble; her brother, Butch Dalton; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Howard D. Johnson, Jr. and Malinda Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of over 40 years, Deacon Cleophous Johnson; two daughters, Cindy Pribble and Carla Johnson; and two grandsons, Malik Johnson and Micah Jones. She is also survived by two aunts, Betty Riner and Phyllis Phelps; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Fitch and Lois Colmore; one brother-in-law, Curtis Johnson (Sandra); and a host of other relatives and friends.
