Ladislau (Laszlo) Bodor breathed his last breath with his wife and children by his side, at home, on Oct 1, 2026, after a long 11 year decline and a short week of pain, weakness and MS/Dementia complications.

On March 18, 1963, Laszlo was born in a little Hungarian village Marghita Romania, to Zoltan and Erzsebet Bodor. When he was school aged, the Bodors moved to Oradea to attend a Romanian school where Laszlo excelled and graduated in 1982 with honors in Physics and Math. He served in the Romanian Military from 1982 to 1983 as a Radio Station Operator where he received training in microwave technology. From June 1983 to June 1988, he studied electronics and telecommunications at Timisoara Polytechnic Institute, receiving a 5 year degree and honors in Electronics and Economics.

After graduation in 1988 until May of 1992 while tutoring every level of Physics and Math to H.S. students, Laszlo designed automatic welding systems and their electronic controls and managed and oversaw 25 technicians and electricians at Mecord.

Because the Romanian dictator Nikolai Ceaucsescu was assassinated in Dec. 1989, Communism ended in Romania. Laszlo left the Engineering industry in 1992 to translate for and transport American pastors and church groups, eager to tell the Good News of Salvation to the Romanians. He'd meet groups at the Hungarian airport, drive them safely to their Ro. Ministry sites and then he would translate for them. Though he also, at the same time, manufactured intercom systems and translated electronics material from English to Hungarian and Romanian, Laszlo always said his work alongside the ministry groups was the most fulfilling, meaningful time of his life. He often was so moved by the power of the Gospel touching people and changing their lives, that his eyes would fill up with tears. His ministry, alongside these groups impacted hundreds if not thousands of people. The pastors and workers truly loved Laszlo. Pastor Wittington from NC who travelled often with Laszlo stated,"Laszlo was such a joy. He had a sense of humor, but was serious when it came to ministry. He was 'one of my favorite people in Romania and I knew a lot of Romanians'. He was so vital to what we were doing there. We mostly stayed within 2 hours of Oradea, but we preached the Gospel at the Ukranian and Russian Borders, as well as in Bucharest and Brazov. Sometimes we would preach to large crowds and sometimes we would stop in a small village and set up a sound system and preach to the village people. Now, Laszlo was kind, conscientious and respectful (Once he even brought flowers to the ladies arriving at the airport) but, in his Dacia, I never sat in the passenger seat (due to some pretty scary driving habits). That's where he got the knick name, Mario Andretti (a famous racecar driver)."

Laszlo ran his 2 businesses until 1994 when Wes Tuttle, director of Light Ministries at Liberty University, asked him to come study at the LBI in Lynchburg Va. Laszlo said, "Yes", and studied the Bible at LU from 1994 to 1997 where he also worked as the supervisor, repairing equipment and supervising students in the Audio Visual Library. In 1995, Laszlo met Susan Wright, at Heritage Baptist Church and they were married Dec 28, 1996. Both graduated in May 1997. Laszlo raised 4 children while working 15 years total in Electronics Engineering in Lynchburg Va. : first at Erikson, then Andrew Corp. then at Commscope.

Laszlo was diagnosed with MS in 2015. MS has no cure at this time, so his brain was donated to the University of MD Medical School to further research on MS, in hopes of finding a cure.

Laszlo is survived by his parents, Zoltan and Erzsebet; his sister, Marta (Drew) Bennett, Andrew and Abigail. He is survived also by his wife Susan Bodor; and his children, Josh, Sarah, Ellie and Ben Bodor.
