Kyrie King Omari Thomas

Kyrie King Omari Thomas, 7, of Lynchburg, Virginia transitioned on June 10, 2026. Kyrie was born on March 15, 2019, to Jarrod and Raven Thomas.

Kyrie although a young king in years had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Tree of Life Ministries and a student at Boonsboro Elementary School.

He was a happy little boy who found joy in the simple things that made childhood so special. He loved playing with trains and was fascinated by helicopters. Whether he was shooting a basketball, running around outside, or chasing after animals with excitement and curiosity, he embraced every adventure with a smile. His playful spirit, endless energy, and love for life brought laughter and happiness to everyone who knew and loved him. Kyrie was his families alarm clock, up at 6:00 every morning, ready to awake them with his infectious smile.

In addition to his parents, Kyrie is survived by his big sister, Daisy Thomas and would have been a great big brother to his soon to be sibling, Vegas. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Regina Thomas and Milton Smith; maternal grandparents, DeVonne Johnson and Darrell Calloway; along with his uncles, great aunts and uncles, and many cousins and other loving family members and friends.

A celebration of Kyrie's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Tree of Life Ministries. The family will be receiving family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.

The family respectfully asks that guests attending the service refrain from wearing all black. They encourage everyone to wear bright or colorful clothing as we celebrate a beautiful life and the happiness and love he brought to so many. Thank you for honoring this special request.
