Kenneth “Kenny” Watts, 67, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on February 19, 2026, just days after celebrating his birthday. He was born on February 10, 1959, to Edward Ray Watts Sr. and Mary Louise Watts.

Kenny was a devoted son, brother, and uncle who loved his family deeply. He was a hardworking pipe fitter and welder who took pride in an honest day’s work. Those who knew Kenny knew him as a strong, dependable man with a good heart and a quiet kindness that showed in the way he treated others.

Kenny loved the outdoors and found peace and happiness in fishing and hunting. Whether he was out on the water or in the woods, he enjoyed the simple things in life and the memories made along the way. He especially treasured time spent with family, sharing stories and laughter that will be remembered for years to come.

More than anything, Kenny was a man who cared deeply for the people in his life. He had a way of making those around him feel welcome and valued, and his presence brought comfort and warmth to his family. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love he gave.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Ray Watts Sr. and Mary Louise Watts, and his sister, Wanda McFarland.

He is survived by his brother, Edward Ray Watts Jr.; his nieces, Jessica Watts, Isabella Watts, and Renee Shelton; and his nephew, Joshua Watts, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Though Kenny is gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts. His memory will live on in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught us, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
