Kenneth Nathaniel “Bo” Mobley, 71, of Lynchburg, VA passed away on April 14, 2026, at his residence. He was the son of late Easter Mobley and late Burnetta Mobley-Leftridge.
Kenneth was born on February 18, 1955, in Baltimore, MD. He attended school at Baltimore City High School in Baltimore, MD. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army. In which, he was so proud to serve his country. After serving in the military, he made Virginia his home and worked for Thomasville Furniture for 22 years.
Kenneth joined New Jerusalem Church in Appomattox, VA. He was a diehard fan of the San Francisco 49ers. Kenneth was the 'king' of giving nicknames to people. He was definitely a “trash talker” and Kenneth loved music.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter Charika (Daniel) Hill aka Baby Girl of Atlanta, GA and one stepdaughter, Demetria Hamlette of Raleigh, NC. Three grandchildren Nickaisha Hill aka Lae' Lae of Atlanta, GA; Niquandre (Taylor) Fleshman aka LN of Atlanta, GA; Tyler Hill aka Big T of Atlanta, GA; Two great-grandchildren Nikolas Fleshman aka Fast Eddie, Zayd Ivery aka Little Miss Hollywood. Another expecting great grandchild this July. Three step grandchildren Steve Clark Jr of Lynchburg, VA; Renard Hamlette; Jashawn Hamlette of Raleigh, NC. Four siblings Jeanne (Vincent) Andolina of Lewes, DE; Wayne (Kim) Mobley of Baltimore, MD; Wanda Mobley of Baltimore, MD; Charles (Tonya) Leftridge of Edgewood, MD. One stepsister Charmaine Boston of Baltimore, MD. Two goddaughters Tinika Denson of Evington, VA; Shanika Denson-Ford of Madison Heights, VA. Numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by Sadie Mobley (stepmother) and Debbie Jones (stepsister).
Special friends: Stephon Lipford, Jethro Callaham, Stanley McIvor, Zachary Hamlett, Eleanor Elliott, Horace Jones and Tim Tanner. Former wife of 26 years but still great friends, Magdalene Hamlette.
A memorial/funeral service will be held on April 25, 2026, at 5:00PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Pastor John Smith officiating.
