Kathy Marie Lovern Brammer, 61, of Thaxton, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Maurice Howard Brammer.
Born March 22, 1954 in Blacksburg, she was a daughter of the late Wiley Minor Lovern and Dorothy Lee Cromer Lovern. She is also preceded in death by one sister: Emma D. Hughes.
Kathy also leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter: Frances Marie Custer , and husband, Dwayne; 5 step-children: Maurice Howard, Jr. and wife, Brenda, Lou Ellen Poff and husband, William, Teresa Ann Taylor and husband, Donald, Kim Elaine Stewart, and husband, Darrell, Elsie Marie Womack and husband, Roger, sisters: Linda Steele, and husband, Kelly, Nina Eanes,(Ben) Fay Adams (Buddy), Hazel Agee,(Charles), Shirleane Luokkala, (Pete), Jean Steele Hodges (Earl); brothers: Freddie Lovern (Theresa), Jerry Lovern (Jane), Johnnie Lovern (Rachel); grandchildren: Jeremy and Kelsey Custer, 17 grandchildren; great-grandchild: Layla Murillo and 4 step-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home conducted by Rev. James Keaton. Interment will follow at Holy Land Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
