Katherine Glass Jennings

Katherine Glass Jennings, 77, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on April 30, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Sidney E Glass and Irene Glass. She is survived by her loving husband Warren P Jennings. 

Katherine was born on December 20, 1946, in Lynchburg, Virginia. She attended school at E.C. Glass High School. She was a dedicated employee for the state of Virginia working for the Division of Child Support Enforcement. She spent many years working as a Court Specialist. 

Katherine is survived by her daughters: Melissa C. Grubbs and April J. Perdue, son in law Brian H. Perdue. Her grandchildren: Hayley Grubbs, Hunter Perdue, Maddie Perdue, and Noah Grubbs. Her great-grandchildren: Aliyah and Avianna Megginson. Her siblings: Tommy Glass (Brenda), Steve Glass (Marsha), Jimmy Glass (Lori), and Nancy Irby (Floyd); a host of nieces and nephews; and many loving friends including her best friends: Linda Thomas and Pat Wilhelm. 

In addition to her parents, Katherine is predeceased by her son, Henry Clay Grubb. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., a funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home with Rick Raspberry officiating.
