Joyce Marie Mullin

Joyce Marie Mullin, 91, of Lynchburg, VA (formerly of Braintree, MA) passed away Friday, September 18, 2026. She was the loving wife of Edward Patrick Mullin.

Joyce was born in Lyles, Tennessee on March 24, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Ivan J. Gafford and Virginia Coates Gafford. She was a devoted homemaker to husband and children.

She is survived by her sons Michael Mullin and wife Lori, of Duxbury, MA, Daniel Mullin of Lynchburg, VA, and daughters Kathleen Mullin of Lynchburg, VA, Anne Busa and husband Christopher of Goode, VA, Teresa Sunseri of Pittsburg, PA, Jennifer Miles and husband Brent of Waterford, MI. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, PJ Mullin, Elizabeth, and Teddy Mullin of Duxbury, MA; Patrick Busa of Goode, VA and Molly Busa of Avon, MA; Olivia Mullin of Westminster, CO, Holly Kunkle of Wexford, PA. She is also survived by her great grandson, Beckham Hayes of Avon, MA. Her surviving siblings are Steve Gafford, Ivan Gafford, Carol Wilson, and Linda Casper all of Michigan.

Joyce was an avid reader, especially of her favorite author J.A. Jance. She enjoyed visiting her family and enjoyed hanging out with our golden retrievers, Jesse and Moira.

A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held on September 27, 2026, at 3PM at 66 Drury Rd Lynchburg, VA.
