John Murray Campbell

John Murray Campbell, 63, of Rustburg, Virginia, passed away on July 22, 2026. He was the son of the late C.M.(Buck) Campbell, Jr. and Frances Dean Wright Mauldin.

John was born on November 23, 1962, in Lynchburg, Virginia. He attended school at E.C. Glass High School, then enlisted in the Navy where he served as an Aviation Technical Electrician. After his service he worked for Simplimatic Conveyors and later for Moore Electric and Mechanical for more than 21 years.

John is survived by his children, Diana Campbell Williams and Stephen J. Campbell; grandson Theodore Williams; siblings, James Christopher Campbell, his wife Lydia W. Campbell, Laura Campbell DeFlora, her husband Frank A DeFlora, and Emily L Campbell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Aug 29, 2026, at 11 am at The Old City Cemetery Chapel with Monty Duncan officiating.
