John L. Baity, Jr. "Bucky"

John L. Baity Jr., "Bucky," 80, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:49 in the afternoon. He was surrounded by his devoted wife, Gloria Baity; his two sons, John L. Baity III, "Terry," and Barry Baity; his daughter-in-law, Ashley Baity; and his grandchildren, Mollie and Bryce Rudisill, Marley Baity, Parker Baity, and Ireland Baity. Bucky was the patriarch of his family who instilled strength, hard work, and love in his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held at Fort Hill Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Friends are welcome to join the family for the service.
