Jim Underwood
August 19, 1938 — September 30, 2023
Jim Underwood, 85, of Bedford, Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was the son of the late Clemmie Underwood and Nell Ashcraft Underwood.
Jim was a member of Bedrock Community Church and proudly served in the United Staes Army. He was a pilot for United Airlines for 32 years and flew rescue helicopters in the Vietnam War.
A memorial service and celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
