Jerry Nutter, 66, of Lynchburg, Virginia, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of the late William Hood and Belle Mae Nutter Wood. Jerry Nutter was born on November 28, 1959, in Clay County, West Virginia. He was a graduate of Heritage High School.

Jerry was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, Nascar racing, going out in the boat, shooting pool, racing his 69' Chevelle and was known as Family Man. He was also a Green Bay Packers fan and was a jack of all trades. He could fix anything.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Donna Nutter; his beautiful daughter Crystal Varnado and son in law Matthew Varnado; two beautiful granddaughters Sophia and Caylee Varnado; 2 brothers Gary Nutter and Jeffrey Wood and their wives; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Wood.

Above all else, Jerry was a devoted and loving husband, father and Papaw. His greatest joy was, is and will always be his family.

A graveside service will be held on March 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Virginia Memorial Park with John Moxley officiating. Family and Friends are welcome.
