Jerry Allen Steele, Sr.

Jerry Allen Steele Sr., 77, of Rustburg died on August 7, 2022.
He was born in Wytheville on October 12, 1944, the son of Carrie Thelma Grishaw Woodson and Sam Woodson.
Jerry enjoyed working on and collecting old cars. He was also an engine builder when he was younger. He loved the hunt and find of buying and selling cars. On the weekends you could usually find him at one of the area car shows around town.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Brunson; grandchildren: Travis Steele, and Aaron Steele.
He is survived by his sons: Allen Steele Jr. (Ginger) of Forest, and Robert “Bobby” Steele, Sr. (Chrystal) of Rustburg, grandchildren: Amanda Otey-Hall of Lynchburg, Reagan Steele of Overland Park, KS, Bobby Steele Jr., and Carrie Grace Steele, both of Rustburg, six great-grandchildren.
The family offers a heartfelt thank you to all those who cared for Jerry.
