Jeremy Roshard Witcher, 35, of Lynchburg, Virginia, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 2nd, 2026. He was born on November 5, 1990, to James Calvin Witcher Jr. and Leanne McDaniel.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lucy and Eldridge Callaway; his paternal grandparents, Lorraine Nowlin and James Witcher Sr.; his stepmother, Christina Witcher; and his sisters, Jakia Tweedy and Telisha Evans-Sales.
He graduated from E.C. Glass High School in 2009 and later earned an associate’s degree in Welding from Central Virginia Community College in 2025. He was a professional barber, a skill he began developing at the age of 15. He was musically gifted with a deep passion for singing and playing the piano. He shared his musical talents with various groups and churches, most recently serving at Court Street Baptist and Diamond Hill Baptist Churches. He was a member of the Shekijah Preparation Assembly, where he dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He loved his daughters deeply and had a strong bond with his family and close friends. A man of many talents, Jeremy was loved by all who knew him. His infectious laugh and love for telling a joke that always ended up being an interesting story; will forever be remembered.
In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his beloved daughters, Moriah and Jasslyn, and their mother, Ebony; his stepfather, Earl McDaniel; his sisters, Jade (Will), Teira, Martia (Orville), Meredith, and Judith; his brothers, Joshua, Seth, Emmanuel (Evie), and Nashaun; his Godparents, Charles and Elizabeth Lewis Sr., along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at The Ramp Church International (701 Thomas Road Lynchburg, VA) at 12:00 PM. Mr. Witcher will lie in repose for public viewing one hour prior to the service.
Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is serving the family.
