Janet S. Bonds of Bedford departed this life on Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland G. Bonds.
Born on June 23, 1931 in Christiansburg, VA, she was a graduate of James Madison College. After working a few years as a chemist, she and her family moved to the Lynchburg area. She spent many years as a second-grade teacher at New London Academy.
She is survived by her son, Mark Bonds and wife, Tina; grandchildren, Mathew, Daniel and Rebekah.
Special thanks are extended to the staff of Cardinal Senior Living where she lived for the last year and a half.
A graveside service will be held at Virginia Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Sue Keen.
