Jane Wagner

March 22, 1943 — July 23, 2025

Jane Ann Wagner, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 23, 2025. Born on March 22, 1943, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to Earl F. Wagner and Arlene M. Wagner, Jane lived a life marked by deep loyalty, unconditional love, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her.

During her early years, Jane spent a short but memorable time in San Francisco while her father served in the U.S. Coast Guard. She later built a meaningful life in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, where she raised her family and formed lasting friendships. Nearly two decades ago, she moved to Virginia to be closer to her daughter—a decision that brought her immense joy and allowed her to be a constant presence in the life of her youngest grandchild.

Jane was the proud mother of two daughters; Jennifer Delbo (Gary) and Jill Lewis (Bill); and was a cherished grandmother to Ashley (Sam), David (Angie), and Connor. Her legacy continues through her five great-grandchildren: Ava, Josiah, Arabella, Raina, and Cason, all of whom brought her great pride and happiness. Jane was preceded in death by her father Earl; mother, Arlene; and brother, Jack Wagner.

Jane will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her family, her warm and fun-loving nature, and the many ways she made those around her feel truly loved. Her absence leaves a deep void, but her spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of those who knew her best.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
