Jane Thomas Sigler

Jane Thomas Sigler passed away on October 9,2025. She was a lifelong resident of Lynchburg, born on September 28, 1928, in Virginia Baptist Hospital to Willard Franklin Thomas and Ellen Walker Thomas. She was a graduate of E. C. Glass and Salem College.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Ellen Stewart Thomas; her husband, Harold Sigler, Jr.; her son, Harold Sigler, III; her grandson, Harold Sigler, IV; and her twin great-granddaughters Lucy Baylor Overman and Elizabeth Walker Overman. She is survived by her daughter, Robin Sigler Corbett (Rob); her son, Willard Thomas Sigler (Mary Ann); her son, Stewart Marshall Sigler (Alison); and her daughter, Ellen Sigler Featherstone (James). In addition she is survived by her grandchildren, Maryellen Corbett, Hugh Corbett, Walker Sigler, Holly Overman, Ellery Sigler, Paige Oley, Meredith Dreher, Wesley Featherstone, Calder Featherstone and Lizzie Featherstone. Lastly, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Natalie Corbett, Grace Corbett, Worth Sigler, Will Sigler, Janie Sigler, Hayes Overman, Baylor Overman, and Mason Gray.

A Graveside Service for Jane will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Many thanks to the Staff of Westminster Canterbury 4th floor Drinkard for their care and devotion. She had numerous cherished life-long friends including Marion B., who provided joy, comfort, and companionship from kindergarten classmates at Garland Rodes School to floor mates at Westminster Canterbury.
