Jami Lynne Young

Jami Lynne Young, 62, of Rustburg, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Born on September 26, 1963, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Rogers and Joyce Edgell Carlson. Jami was a retired employee of Runk & Pratt Assisted living where she worked in activities. Jami had a tender heart and loved all the elderly residents she worked with. Jami was a loving and devoted wife, mother, gigi, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to us all. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving is her Husband, David to whom she was married to for 35 years. Two Sons, David (Harley) Young and Dustin (Big D) Young and wife Megan. A sister, Corie Ann James and husband Erole, brother-in-law Greg Goff and wife Sherri both of whom she had a special relationship with. Four Grandchildren, Paisleigh Elizabeth, Amelia Harper, Watson Ford, and Hayden Zane. A niece, Brittany Beams and husband Zack. Two Nephews, Brandon Goff and wife Heather, G.T.Goff and wife Skye and all of their numerous children. Jami was daughter in law of the late Jean S. Goff.

The Family will receive friends from 4-530 pm on  Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg and other times at the residence, 3112 Depot Rd. Rustburg, Va. A memorial Service will follow at Tharp Funeral Home at 530 pm on Saturday, April 18, 2026. A Celebration of Jamis life will be held at a later date to be announced. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Rustburg Dixie Youth or Timberlake Dixie Softball.

The Family would like to express their gratitude to the ladies of Good Samaritan Hospice for all the love and compassion shown to Jami during her care.
