James Moore

James Thomas Moore, 90, of Lynchburg, died, Thursday, June 9, 2011.  He was the loving husband of the late Eleanor Woodall Moore.

Born in Campbell County, August 23, 1920 he was a son of the late Gordon Fitch Moore and Josie Johnson Moore.  He was a member of Timberlake Christian Church and served in the United States Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his three children, James L (Nancy H) of Forest, Dianne M. (Thomas) Zupo of Chester, and Carrol Ray (Carol) Moore of Longmont, CO.  He has seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend \"SPECIAL THANKS\" to Dr. Olmsted at Virginia Baptist Hospital, Mary Beth, Connie, Shelia, \"Ali, Jane and Warren from Hospice of the Hills.  Also, all the staff at Virginia Baptist Hospital in the Skill Care Ward in the English Building.

Also, \"SPECIAL THANKS\" to Tom and Faye, Mary Kay, Eddie, Fonda, and Kaylen and all his friends around Timberlake.

The family will receive friends and family from 5:30 \"" 7:30 PM, Monday, June 13, 2011 at Timberlake Christian Church, followed by a Memorial Service at the Church with the Rev. Bob Mooty officiating.
