James "Jimmy" C. Woodson

James "Jimmy" C. Woodson, 78, of Lynchburg, VA departed this life on August 13, 2025, at his residence. James was born in Campbell County, VA on March 16, 1947, to the late Burnell Woodson, Sr., and Doris Pinn Woodson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Ann and Eula M. Woodson.

James leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Bessie West Woodson; son, Lewis Woodson, and stepsons, Andre West and Daniel Crawley Jr.; two sisters, Carolyn Woodson and Pearl White; a brother, Burnell Woodson, Jr. (Marie); grandson, Josiah Woodson; step grandsons, Daniel Crawley, III, Jeremiah Crawley, and Kahlil Mickens; two special friends, Richard Green and Theodore Holland and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment will be at Humbles Cemetery, Winston Ridge Rd. Lynchburg, VA on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 12 PM.
