James Edward \"Eddie \"Freeman, 58, of Monroe, VA, died Saturday, July 07, 2012 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Sharon Coates Freeman.
Eddie was born December 2, 1953 in Lynchburg, the son of Mamie Mayberry Freeman and the late Willis Walker Freeman, Jr.
Eddie was a former employee of Wiley Wilson for 25 years and was currently employed at Avera as a computer designer.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his children: Shannon Denney and her husband Jon Denney of Pensacola, Florida and Tammy Brooks of Nevada; a brother: W. Dale Freeman and wife Beth of Monroe; grandchildren: Robbie and Olivia Belangia of Chesapeake; sister-in-law: Pam Wilson and her husband George Wilson of Madison Heights; Brothers-in-law: Randy Coates and wife, Tammy of Madison Heights and Tim Coates of Lynchburg; his mother-in-law: Frances Coates and a large loving family.
Eddie was always full of life and happiness he never met a stranger, he always had a smile on his face and had something to say to make others day brighter. He was avid fisherman and loved being in the mountains on his time off. Eddie had a large knowledge of all the mountains in Amherst and Nelson Counties where he enjoyed fishing and hunting or just enjoying the outside beauty.
A memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Madison Heights Baptist Church, Main Street Madison Heights VA at 11:00 AM, visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
On October 24, 1987 I married my best friend now God has called him home.
