Ilona Harvard Salmon

Ilona Harvard Moody Salmon of Lynchburg died Tuesday, March 1, 2011.  She is survived by her husband, John McClure Salmon III.



Ilona was born April 17, 1941 in Dothan, Alabama, a daughter of the late Earle Cameron Moody and the late Frances Harvard Lucas Wright.

 

In addition to her husband, she is survived also by her daughter, Lauren Harvard Salmon Varah, and her husband, Mark, of Lynchburg; her son, John \"J.\" McClure Salmon IV. and his wife, Julie Anne, of Lynchburg; her grandchildren, Olivia Harvard Varah, Victoria Harvard Varah, Emily Virginia Salmon, and Kathleen McClure Salmon, all of Lynchburg; her sister, Mary K. Lucas Drew, and her husband, Tommy, of Virginia Beach; and her brothers, Earle Farley Moody II and his wife, Mary Louise, of Calera, Alabama, and Fred Cameron Moody of Dothan, Alabama.

 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis S. Roberts officiating.
