Helen Jeanette Hudson

Helen Jeanette Hudson, 94 passed into eternal life Sunday April 12,2026 surrounded by her loving family at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg Va. She was born May 20,1931 on Stumps Hill in Madison Heights Va. overlooking the James River. She was the daughter of Charlie Douglas Turner and Estelle Chenault Turner.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Madison Heights and loved spending time with her family and loved ones. She enjoyed reading her bible, fishing anywhere she could and kayaking on the James River.

She is survived by her children, Tina H. Marks, Eddie Hudson and wife Betty, June Kilgore and husband Paul, Carroll Hudson, and Paul Hudson and wife Shelly. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heath Marks and his wife Liz, Jennifer Webb and husband Adam, Lance Marks and Mariana Bauza, Jesse Hudson, Joey Kilgore and wife Casey, Lindsey Hudson and husband Mark, Corbin Hudson, and Natalie Hudson, along with great-grandchildren Jay Kilgore, Ella Stowers, Abby Kilgore, Calvin Marks Bauza, Poppy Kilgore, Virginia Webb, and Anne Page Webb, and many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters and husband Ed Hudson.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Temple Baptist Church, with a visitation with the family at 1PM and a service of remembrance starting at 2PM. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of her daughter June Kilgore at her home in Amherst.
