Hazel Dishman Berry, 92, of Lynchburg died Wednesday June 26, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Reginald S. Berry.
Hazel was born September 15, 1920 in King George County, VA, a daughter of the late James Samuel Dishman and the late Betty Grigsby Dishman. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a member of Peakland Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son Reginald C. Berry and his wife Karen of Lynchburg, two daughters: Janet B. Bogacik and her husband Kenneth of Lynchburg, and Judith A. B. Barbieri and her husband John of London, England, five grandchildren: Lynn Berry, Carter Berry, Gillian Hesse, Aaron Bogacik, and Jessica Watts, four great-grandchildren: Oliver Hesse, Lars Hesse, Sophie Hesse, and Charlotte Berry, two brothers: James D. Dishman and his wife Virginia, W. Kenneth Dishman and his wife Marie, one sister Alice D. Hopkins, and one brother-in-law Wallace W. Berry.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters: Rae D. Duncan, Anna D. Cook, and Betty D. Stewart.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday June 29, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. Interment will follow at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in King George County.
