Harry Daniel Wright

Harry Daniel Wright, of Forest, Virginia, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Elizabeth McFaden Wright and a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend.

A proud patriot, Harry honorably served in the United States Air Force for six years. He was born on October 21, 1938, in Big Island, Virginia, to the late Ernest and Ann Wright. He later retired from Georgia‑Pacific following a long and dedicated career in logistics.

Harry was a lifelong race car fan and car enthusiast who enjoyed playing the guitar and tending to his garden. He was also known for his belief that everything was better with butter. Most of all, Harry will be remembered for his unwavering love and constant devotion to the care and well‑being of his family.

He was preceded in death by his children, Daniel, Teresa, and Michael Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wright; daughter, Kimberly Wright; sister, Deborah Hunt (Tommy); daughter‑in‑law, Christine Wright; and stepchildren, Michael Goff (Deborah) and Terri Goff.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Tharp Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
