Halsey Thomas Jordan, Jr.
Halsey Thomas Jordan, Jr. 83, of Lynchburg died Thursday September 29, 2011. He was the loving husband of Vera Vernon Jordan.
Tom was born October 27, 1927 in Lynchburg a son of the late Halsey T. Jordan, Sr. and Eva Brooks Jordan. Tom honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was an avid outdoorsman. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Teresa Jordan Davis of Evington, two sons: Thomas Edward Jordan and Timothy Dale Jordan both of Lynchburg, two brothers: Ed Jordan and wife Frances of Lynch Station, and Raymond Jordan and wife Doris of Spout Springs, a sister Kitty Lamb and husband Rand of Lynchburg, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Terry Lee Jordan and a sister Elizabeth Martin.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday October 8, 2011 at his home: 1350 Walnut Hollow Road Lynchburg, VA 24503.
