Grace Ann Shearer Tinsley

Grace Ann Shearer Tinsley, 85, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Born in Lynchburg on August 6, 1941, Grace was the daughter of the late David Lee Johnson and Hallie Shearer Johnson. She devoted her career to caring for others as a Registered Nurse with the Lynchburg Health Department, from which she retired.

Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Hubert Tinsley, and her daughter, Tracey Giordano.

She is survived by her son, Dr. John Mark Tinsley of St. Paul, Minnesota; her sister-in-law, Gracie Tinsley of Lynchburg, Virginia; and her nephew, Mike Shearer of Lynchburg, Virginia.
