Gibson Leroy “Lee” VanHorn, III, 52, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, October 18, 2024.
Lee was born in Lynchburg on September 23, 1972, a son of the late Charles Lambert and Barbara Simms Lambert. Lee worked at both Lynchburg General and Virginia Baptist Hospitals and was a beloved staff member at Westminster Canterbury in Lynchburg.
He is survived by his two sisters; Annette McClain (Seth) of Lynchburg, and Charlene Drinkard of Lynchburg, a niece Angel McClain, two nephews; David McClain and Brandon McClain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Brian Drinkard.
A Memorial Service for Lee will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the chapel at Westminster Canterbury with Chaplain William Deal officiating.
