Gerald "Jerry" Edward Crisp

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald “Jerry” Edward Crisp, Sr., who departed this life on June 3, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born on June 8th, 1948, in Newport News, Virginia. Jerry loved traveling, sports, nature, fishing, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the deer and rabbits every day from his home. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor.

Jerry is survived by his sister, Melba Jo Crisp in Lynchburg, VA, a son, Gerald “Jerry” E. Crisp, Jr. and his wife Amy in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter, Kelley Crisp Van De Ven and her husband Harold “Harry” in Hampton, VA, and three beloved grandchildren in Lynchburg, VA: Bayley Elizabeth Crisp Lindevaldsen and her husband Joshua “Josh”, Taylor William Crisp and Isabella “Bella” Lowe Crisp, who will forever cherish his memory.

In lieu of a memorial service or flowers, the family has chosen to request that donations be made directly to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Gerald “Jerry” E. Crisp, Sr.
