George Frederick Quillen, 74, of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Ashland, KY, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 in Roanoke. He was born in Ashland on Jan. 18, 1943, the son of the late Otto Quillen and Mildred Bunting Quillen, who survives in Lancaster, OH. He had retired from Ashland Auto Parts in KY after over 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Charlotte Hall Quillen; a daughter, Tamme Grubb; two sons, Ronald Quillen and Bruce Quillen and his wife Angela; five grandchildren; one sister, Jennifer “Essie” Smith
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Assoc.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory – Roanoke Chapel is assisting the family.
