Geane Ewing

Geane Campbell Ewing, 101, of Lynchburg, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Vernie Chaffin Campbell and (Clyde) In addition to her parents, Geane is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Ewing and sister, Dingle Harvey (Rooster)

Geane was born on August 11, 1924, in Lynchburg, VA She graduated from EC Glass High School and as an artist from her youth attended various art schools to continue her love of painting and drawing, which she did professionally.

Geane was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church and enjoyed being a part of the Gideon's and outreach. She enjoyed her artwork where she had many art exhibits and won numerous awards.

Geane is survived by her children Lyn Hilt (Rudy), Scott Brown (Elaine), Timby Mukherjee (Uday); grandchildren, Denan Colton (Ryan), Forest Hilt(Joni), Ian Brown, Brian Hilt (Hui-Mei); nephews and nieces, Chip Harvey (Betsy) Proctor Harvey (Bootsie) Susie Gordon (Larry) and Melanie Williams (Lew); and numerous great nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on February 10, 2026, at 3 pm at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg VA.
