Faye Taylor Clarke

Faye Taylor Clarke, 70, of Lynchburg, Va. was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 11, 2026, at Tate Springs Health & Rehab after a courageous battle with dementia.

Faye was born on November 10, 1955, to the late Phyllis E. and John O. Taylor. Faye was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Odell Taylor, Kenneth Adam Taylor, Clifton Lee Taylor, and Michael Otha Taylor.

Faye was educated in the Lynchburg City Schools, graduating from E.C. Glass class of 1974. Faye went on to be employed for years by Hills and most recently Bausch + Lomb until her retirement in 2021.

Faye accepted Christ as his savior and was a faithful member of Rivermont Baptist Church where she served for many years as a Trustee until her decline in health.

Faye leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Michele T. (Peter) Via Roanoke, Va.; one sister-in-law, Deborah L. Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends who will lovingly honor her memory.

In lieu of a memorial service, a scattering of her ashes will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday August 29, 2026, at The Old City Cemetery for anyone who wishes to pay their last respects.
