Ellen Marie Peters
Feagan
July 2, 1947 – April 11, 2026
Ellen Marie Peters Feagan, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026. She was born July 2, 1947, a beloved wife, devoted sister, and cherished aunt whose life was defined by strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to family.
Ellen was the loving wife of Robert Carey Feagan, with whom she shared a long and happy marriage since November 29, 2002. She was the daughter of the late Helen and Clyde Owen Peters. One of five siblings, she was preceded in death by her four brothers—Tommy, Ronnie, Roger, and Larry Peters—and was the last remaining sibling of her family. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sadie Peters, wife of Tommy Peters; step-children, Sherry Catron, Beverley (Chuck) Walker and Carey (Ben) Atlocca.
After the loss of her mother at a young age, Ellen stepped into a remarkable role, helping to raise her brothers with resilience and grace. She carried that same nurturing spirit throughout her life, helping to raise and guide her nieces and nephews: Laurie (Tim) Tucker; Lindsey Peters; John (Anne) Peters; Brett (Sarah) Peters; Andrea Jones; and Misty (Jeremy) Fretwell and Josh (Katie) Peters. To them, she was far more than an aunt—she was a second mother, a mentor, and a constant source of love and wisdom.
Her love extended to the next generation as well. She adored Laurie Tucker’s children—Layla, Hayley, and Owen; Andrea Jones' son, Nicholas Jones; and Brett Peters’ children—Annie, Hudson, and Henley—showering them with the same warmth, guidance, and devotion she gave so freely.
A true trailblazer and one-of-a-kind woman, Ellen taught those around her how to be a good person simply by the way she lived—with kindness, integrity, and a deep understanding of right and wrong. Despite enduring great loss, she remained the heart of her family, carrying forward its love, values, and traditions.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Centra Hospice, Bedford for the care they gave to Mrs. Feagan.
