Edward “Eddie” Lee McCurdy, 67 of Arrington died Monday, January 21, 2019. He was the devoted husband of Karen L. McCurdy.
Eddie was born on July 4, 1951 in Quantico, Virginia, a son of the late Oswald McCurdy and Esther Worrells McCurdy. Eddie honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and was retired as a field engineer in the nuclear industry.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sisters, Reenie Green of Farmville, and Kristi Creasy of Spotsylvania County and father-in-law Ralph B. Cisco, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved “fur babies” Jake, Tipsy, Luke, and LuLu.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Devlin and Dianne Purks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights.
A Memorial Service for Eddie will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Madison Heights.
In lieu of flowers please consider making memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Amherst County.
