Edward D. Moore, 92, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021. He was the husband of Margaret Nash Moore for 60 years.
Edward was born on October 11,1929, a son of the late Asa and Myrtle Moore.
He served our country in the US Navy, was an avid outdoorsman, loved his family, devoted to his wife, and had a deep faith in God.
Edward is survived by his daughters Mitzi (Gordon) Halleck and Gail (Tom) McGowan; a son Kevin (Kim) Eldridge; grandchildren: Kara Wardell, Thomas McGowan, Jr., Zachary Halleck, Emily McGowan, and Treavor Halleck; great-grandchildren, Aria, Kylar; Carter, Davis, and Greyson.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Moore, and sisters, Katherine Kidd, Marie Cyrus, and Helen Bailey.
A Celebration of Edward’s life will be held in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International in honor of Edward.
