Edward Joseph Carr, Jr.

Edward Joseph Carr Jr. of Forest, VA. passed away on March 7, 2026. He was born on June 15, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA. to the late Edward Joseph Carr Sr. and Ethel Kohr Carr.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Coletta of Collegeville, PA.

After serving with the United States Army Signal Corps, he was employed by General Electric and finally GE/Ericsson, holding several different positions over the years and receiving awards for both his dedication and performance. He retired in 1997 after 39 years with the company.

Edward is survived by his son Edward Carr III and wife Teresa of Forest, VA. and his daughter Nadine and husband James Allen of Lynchburg, VA.

Although saddened by his passing, it is with pride and inspiration that his family moves forward while keeping their fond memories of him dear.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Fort Hill Memorial Park at a later date.
