Edna Lorraine Hodges
Edna Lorraine Firebaugh Hodges, 81, of Daleville, VA went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 4, 2012. She was born September 1, 1930, in Roanoke, VA. She was the loving wife of Samuel H. Hodges for 63 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Louise Firebaugh; a sister, Helen Ferguson; and a brother, Cecil Firebaugh.
She was a member of Airlee Court Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel H. Hodges; three children, Gary S. Hodges and his wife, Donna of Swoope, VA, Mike B. Hodges and his wife, Becky of Hendersonville, TN, Terri H. Currie and her husband, Dan of Goode, VA; six grandchildren, Lisa Johnson, Michael B. Hodges, Stacey Hutcherson, Lori Showalter, Daniel Currie, and Chad Currie; eleven great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marvin Suitt officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, July 6, 2012, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, at Tharp Funeral Home.
