Earline Carter Karnes

Earline Mable Carter Karnes, 76, of Bedford passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Bedford on July 15, 1937, a daughter of the late Tut Lewis Carter and Pernie Amos Carter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Nathan Karnes; two sons, Thomas Nathan Karnes, Jr. and Danny W. Karnes; also two daughters, Linda Sue Karnes and Virginia Mae Karnes.

Earline loved to cook. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her loving grandchildren. She was a member of Suck Spring Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy L. Karnes and his wife, Jackie, and Billy J. Karnes, Sr. and his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Betty A. Burke and her husband, Turke; seven grandchildren, Debra Karnes and fiancé, Damon Andrews, Danny Karnes, Jr., Laurie Coleman, Billy Karnes, Jr., Brandon Fellers, Lori Fellers Myrtle and husband, Tony, and Misty Karnes; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Iris Carter, and a special friend, Frances Johnson.

A Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donnie G. Glass officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540)-586-3443.
