Doris Ann Hayes Harper

Doris Ann Hayes Harper, 95, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025.

Born on March 4, 1930, in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Edmond Hayes and Anna Goebel Hayes. Doris dedicated her career as a medical assistant to the care of others and faithfully served alongside Dr. W.M. Cook. She was a devoted member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Harper, and her daughter, Barbara Harper. Doris is survived by her loving daughter, Dianne Harper Roese, who will cherish her memory always.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Virginia Memorial Park in Forest, Virginia.
