Dorcas Ann Woods

Dorcas Ann Woods, 90, of Pedlar Mills, Virginia, passed away on October 1, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (“Bill”) Dabney Woods.

Mrs. Woods was born on February 12, 1935. She is survived by her nieces, Ellen Woods Demperio (Mike) of Atlanta, Georgia, Elizabeth Woods LeBel (Rick) of Marietta, Georgia, and Belle Woods Saddler (Latham) of Birmingham, Alabama.

Dorcas enjoyed her life cooking, gardening, and working jigsaw puzzles at her home in Pedlar Mills, Virginia, with her husband, Bill.

The family would like to thank Donald Brown for his long-standing devotion and friendship to Dorcas and Bill.

A graveside service will be held at St. Luke’s Church cemetery in Pedlar Mills, Virginia, on Thursday, October 23 ,2025, at 2p.m.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
