Donald George Fischer

Donald G. Fischer, 101, of Goode,Virginia, passed away on July 11th, 2025. He was the son of Tadore & Viola Fischer of Garden City, New York. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Delores, and his grandson Keaton. 

He is survived by his two sons, Ted and wife Shelly of Altavista, Va, and Gene of Goode, Va. Grandchildren Joshua, Kelsey, Cristin, Alana and Landon and wife Taegan. Great Grandchildren Omari, Aaliyah, Alisha, Kalie and Elijah. “Don and Dolly” were members of the Bedford South congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and dedicated themselves to their ministry throughout Bedford County and beyond for many years. They enjoyed ballroom dancing and in years past, roller skating. Don also loved to golf, bowl, play baseball and observe God's creations. 

A Memorial will be held August 2nd at 3:00 PM at the Bedford Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1534 Link Road, Bedford, Va 24523. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford is assisting the family.
