Diane Taylor Baldwin, 81, of Bedford, VA, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Oakwood Health and Rehab. Diane was born in Salem, Massachusetts on August 29, 1944, to the late Curtis Rosvil Taylor Jr. and Eleanor Pedrick Taylor. Diane was predeceased by her parents and her son, Freddie Edwin Baldwin, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jessica Wayne Francis (Terry) of Evington, VA. She is also survived by her three sisters: Marcia Taylor, Wendy Taylor Pugh (Anthony), and Eleanor Jane Taylor; three nieces: Michele Taylor DeWalt (Derrick), Kristen Ashley Pugh, and Caitlin Elizabeth Pugh, as well as several great nephews.
During her retirement years, Diane found deep fulfillment and purpose in serving as a lay pastor for the loving congregations of Meherrin and Drakes Branch Presbyterian Churches. This cherished role not only allowed her to share her unwavering faith and compassion, but also brought her immense joy, peace, and a profound sense of connection with the communities she so dearly loved.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 30th at 1pm with a visitation to directly follow at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church Building & Grounds Fund in her memory.
