Dewey Comer

Dewey Leon Comer, 67, of Lynchburg, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Dewey was born on August 24, 1958, in Lynchburg, Virginia, a son of the late Rozelle Comer, Sr. and Margaret Hamlett Comer. Dewey was retired from both News & Advance and Best Buy where he worked as a cashier. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Wiggington Road. Dewey was also an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his three siblings: Alma Lucas and husband Russell, Rozelle Comer, Jr. and wife Linda, and William Langhorne, Jr. and wife Edmonia, all of Lynchburg.

A memorial service for Dewey will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Wiggington Road.
