Demetrius Devone Mott

Demetrius Mott, 49 of Dumfries, Virginia passed away on April 14, 2026. He was the son of Deborah & Carl Mott.

Demetrius was born on February 21,1977 in Washington, DC. He attended school at Gar-field High School then pursued serval paths of higher education and obtained a CFC as a certified HVAC technician in Florida.

Demetrius attended many churches over the years, and worked towards becoming a member of Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield VA. His passions were hair cuttery, grooming and styling, composing and making music, writing, studying the Bible and working out.

Demetrius is survived by his children, Dekiem, Chiquira, Da’donai, Myree, Devine, Deneah; grandchildren, Zaniyah, Micah, Faith and Wisdom; siblings, Katrina and Jannie; Uncles-Tony and Russ; Aunts-Francine, Lettie, and Harriet; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, aunts and uncles, and mother’s to his children Ashley and Mercedes.

Demetrius is preceded in death by Frank Darby and Alice Carter.

A funeral service will be held on May 2, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Faith Redemption Church with Mark Beckwith officiating. A visitation will be held on May 2, 2026, from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at Faith Redemption Church, Forest VA.
