Dawn Fields Walker

Dawn Fields Walker, 82, of Forest, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026.

Born in Lynchburg on May 27, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Robert William Fields, Sr. and Della Stanley Fields. Dawn retired from Nationwide Insurance in 2001. She was the loving wife of 39 years and devoted caregiver of the late James Kenneth Walker, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Warren "Winkie" Fields and Robert William Fields, Jr.; and her sisters, Hilda Fields Smith and Evelyn Fields Alford.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Jamie Walker Tuggle and her husband, Barry; her son, James Kenneth Walker, IlI and his wife, Christina; her sister, Gayle Fields Hall; her grandchildren, Zachary Walker and Madison Walker; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
